FAQ for OEM/ODM Brand Customization Customers
1.We want to build our own shock absorber brand. What customization services do you offer?
-We can customize the product logo, laser marking, label design, damping force tuning, dust cover color, cylinder color, packaging color box, instruction manual and outer carton. Basically, we cover full brand customization from the product to the packaging.
2.Can the damping force be tuned according to our sample or requirements?
-Yes. Customers can provide an original sample, a target damping curve, or comfort/sport-oriented requirements. We will develop the product through valve plate adjustment, oil matching and gas pressure setting, and provide a damping force diagram for confirmation after completion.
3.Is there an extra charge for laser marking or logo printing?
-Laser marking is usually free of charge, but it requires reaching the agreed minimum order quantity. Complex patterns, color printing or packaging box customization may involve plate fees or mold fees, which will be explained clearly at the quotation stage.
4.What is the MOQ for customized colors and packaging?
-Customized dust cover or cylinder colors are generally calculated by model, and the MOQ is higher than that of standard neutral products, usually starting from 100–300 pieces per model, depending on the color and process difficulty. The MOQ for packaging boxes can be negotiated separately.
5.How long does customized development take?
-For appearance customization based on existing models, sample making takes about 7–15 days. If damping force re-tuning, valve plate matching or new molds are involved, the development period is usually 30–45 days, plus the normal production time.
6.Can customized products enjoy regional protection?
-Yes, this can be negotiated. For customers with long-term cooperation or who meet the required annual purchase volume, we can sign a regional or channel protection agreement to avoid the same customized product being sold at low prices in the same market.
7.How does the quality of customized products compare to the original parts?
-Our customized products are based on the original OE structure, and key components such as oil seals, piston rods and valve plates are sourced from mature supply chains. Before mass production, we will provide a confirmation sample with appearance, dimension, damping force and sealing test data.
8.What are the usual payment terms for customized orders?
-We usually require a 30% deposit and the balance before shipment. For long-term cooperation customers, other terms can be negotiated. First-time customized orders may require a sample fee or plate fee, which can be refunded after reaching the agreed quantity.
